
Robert Brehm is a candidate in the Master of Public Health in Public Health Administration and Policy program at the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health and serves as Associate Editor and as a contributing Columnist for Urbānitūs. He is a graduate of the Master of Global Policy Studies program at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in International Development in Latin America, where he also earned a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Studies from the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service.
He contributed to a 2019 book on Emerging Policy Practices in Latin America, writing a chapter on Prevalence and Burden of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Disorders in Latin America. Prior to graduate school, he lived and worked in Bolivia and Peru working on various community development projects. A native of Colorado, he holds a BA in History and Anthropology from Metropolitan State University of Denver. He currently resides in St. Paul, Minnesota.

He also generally roots for the various athletics from the University of Texas, the University of Michigan, the University of Virginia, and Colorado State University.
